Super Strength Gingerbeer

Items Needed -

  • Peeled Ginger [ lots of them ]
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Blender
  • Strainer

  • This is a modified version of previous " Homemade Gingerbeer " blog post.
  • Thoroughly wash and then scrub the ginger.
  • Peel [ lots of ] ginger [ without cutting off your fingers. Did I mention i [ really really ] hate knives.

  • Discard Ginger skin

  • Add peeled ginger to blender together with 3 teaspoons of sugar & 1 litre water

  • Blended Drink

  • Then bottle it [ to strain or not to strain ? ]

  • Unfiltered drink - notice the brown floating stuff ? = left over ginger skin even when I peeled off as much skin off them. The thick stuff at bottom of bottle is pure ginger pulp.

  • After filtration

  • What am i to do with the ginger pulp ? Discard or

  • Add some water to pulp and ... [ another batch of gingerbeer  ] = amazing !!!

  • Lets bottle this batch too

Conclusion = Ginger pulp can be re used over & over again [ enough to make 7 litres from just 150g of ginger ]
