- Peeled Ginger [ lots of them ]
- Sugar
- Water
- Blender
- Strainer
- This is a modified version of previous " Homemade Gingerbeer " blog post.
- Thoroughly wash and then scrub the ginger.
- Peel [ lots of ] ginger [ without cutting off your fingers. Did I mention i [ really really ] hate knives.
- Discard Ginger skin
- Add peeled ginger to blender together with 3 teaspoons of sugar & 1 litre water
- Blended Drink
- Then bottle it [ to strain or not to strain ? ]
- Unfiltered drink - notice the brown floating stuff ? = left over ginger skin even when I peeled off as much skin off them. The thick stuff at bottom of bottle is pure ginger pulp.
- After filtration
- What am i to do with the ginger pulp ? Discard or
- Add some water to pulp and ... [ another batch of gingerbeer ] = amazing !!!
- Lets bottle this batch too
Conclusion = Ginger pulp can be re used over & over again [ enough to make 7 litres from just 150g of ginger ]
